Privacy Policy

Effective June 11, 2026

ICINA was built around a single conviction: your most sensitive documents belong to you, and only you. This policy explains what that means in practice.

We collect no personal data

ICINA does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no user accounts, no registration, and no profile of any kind.

Everything you put into a vault — names, documents, notes, account numbers — lives in a single encrypted file on your device. It goes nowhere else. There are no servers involved, because there is nothing to send.

The short version: we cannot see your data, because we have designed the app so that it never reaches us.

Encryption

Every vault is encrypted with AES-256 using a passphrase you choose. The passphrase is never stored anywhere — not on your device, not on any server. Without it, the encrypted file is unreadable, including to us.

When you seal and export a vault, the file you receive is fully encrypted. Sharing it via email or AirDrop is safe — the contents are locked until the correct passphrase is entered.

No analytics, no advertising, no SDKs

ICINA contains no analytics tools, no advertising networks, and no third-party SDKs that collect or report usage data. The app makes zero outbound network connections during normal use.

We do not know how often you open the app, which sections you use, how many vaults you create, or anything else about how you use ICINA.

In-app purchases

ICINA Pro is available as an annual subscription ($19.99/year with a 14-day free trial) or a one-time lifetime purchase ($79.99). All transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.

We receive no payment details — no card numbers, no billing addresses, nothing. Apple's Privacy Policy governs the payment transaction.

Camera access

ICINA Pro includes a document scanner that uses your iPhone's camera to capture and autofill document details using on-device AI (Apple Foundation Models).

Camera images are processed entirely on your device and never leave it. No image data is sent to any server — ours or anyone else's. Camera access is requested only when you initiate a scan, and only Pro subscribers will ever be prompted for it.

You can revoke camera permission at any time in Settings → ICINA.

Face ID and biometric authentication

ICINA offers Face ID (or Touch ID) as a convenient way to unlock a vault. This is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework.

ICINA never accesses, stores, or transmits biometric data of any kind. We only receive a yes/no signal from Apple confirming whether authentication succeeded. Your biometric data never leaves Apple's secure enclave.

No cookies, no tracking

ICINA is a native iOS app. It does not use cookies, web beacons, pixel trackers, fingerprinting, or any other tracking technology. There is no web dashboard, no login portal, and no session to track.

Children's privacy

ICINA is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, there is nothing to collect from a child.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, note the change in the app's release notes. We will never change the policy to introduce data collection without making that visible.
