No — and this is by design. The passphrase is the only key to your vault. ICINA has no master password, no account recovery, and no server that could reset it. The encryption is intentionally one-way.
If you are the Creator of a vault, write your passphrase somewhere safe — a password manager, a handwritten note in a secure place, or both. There is no other path back in.
Open your vault, tap the + menu, then choose Seal the vault. This creates an encrypted .icina file that you can share however you like — AirDrop, email attachment, USB drive, or any other method.
Share the passphrase with your beneficiary separately — not in the same message as the file. When they receive it, they open the file in ICINA and enter the passphrase. Their letter comes first.
Document scanning requires ICINA Pro and an iPhone running iOS 26 or later. The feature uses Apple Foundation Models, which run entirely on-device and are only available on iOS 26+.
If your device meets both requirements and scanning still doesn't appear, check that ICINA has camera permission: go to Settings → ICINA and make sure Camera is enabled.
Yes. Your vault is a portable .icina file — it goes wherever the file goes. Copy it to another device via AirDrop, iCloud Drive, or any file-sharing method, open it in ICINA, and enter your passphrase.
There is no automatic sync between devices. If you make changes on one device, you'll need to re-export and transfer the updated file to any others.
Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple. To cancel, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → ICINA Pro → Cancel Subscription.
You'll keep full Pro access through the end of your current billing period. Your vault and all its contents are unaffected — cancelling Pro only removes access to the document scanner going forward.
Go to Settings → Restore Purchases inside ICINA. This asks Apple to confirm your purchase and unlocks Pro access without charging you again.
If Restore Purchases doesn't resolve it, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. If the issue persists, contact us and include your Apple ID email so we can help.

We read every message and typically reply within one business day. Include your device model and iOS version if you're reporting a bug — it helps us find the issue faster.
